Are you an American?

Shortly the America people will celebrate the 227th year of her birth, I
earnestly muse to myself regarding the characters that give her worth.

An American citizen's equality is quaranteed to all, as a national ideal,
One man can improve or change our national course due to personal zeal.

America is usually the first country to lend a hand or to give others aid,
most Americans surge with pride when our flag passes by in a parade.

We have a guaranteed privilege allowing us worship or to say grace.
Americans are given the precious freedom to move from place to place.

Each man or woman is allowed his or her search for the Pursuit of Truth,
Most every American citizen loves the USA with the loyalty of Ruth.

Everyday countless good neighbors give service without thought of self. Our
land if full of brilliant and caring doctors that daily repair our health.

America has so many lavish cars that transport people form here to there.
The USA has so many passionate teachers that train our child to care.

The US is full of people that have emigrated from almost every other land,
we have so many fine people who believe in God's providential hand.

We have soldiers who die defending protesters, who burn our honorable flag.
Our courts have defense lawyers appointed to defend even a blatant scumbag.

Many of our children get the long desired blessing, for which they have
yearned, most of our hard working folk receive the financial bounties that
have earned.

Each citizen will defend the right of others to believe in values that we
abhor, the bounties or our farmland is arrayed beautifully at the corner
grocery store.

America has vast national resources that sustain our enchanted way of life,
for years our shores have been predominately free from bloodshed and strife.

Our republic is the standard that most all nations use as a yardstick of
liberty. Freedom is the glue that firmly binds each American despite our
vast diversity.

The self-expressed freedom we enjoy has allowed us to be collective great.
Our collective greatness has made America the world's most powerful state.

The constitution is the framework that guides and directs each Americans
life, the checks and balances it mandates help us to order our problems and
strife.

Like most families, Americans struggle, bicker, and argue with each other,
but when outsiders threaten us we link arms, as devoted sisters and brothers

Other nations are quick to see all the problems that arise from people being
free, as Americans we know there are good and bad associated with a free
humanity.

Some Americans do not always choose to do what is best for the greater good,
in America we have developed complex laws that act as our sheltering hood.

Soon we will celebrate the 4th of July with many outdoor events and
fireworks, as I see the sky fill with sparkling lights, I will ponder
America's Inherent perks.

May I find a quite moment to remember those who have died to make me free,
and passionately remember that the blood of many others is the cost of
liberty.

When I see an American dying in a foreign land defending the liberty's cause
may I always feel deep reverence that causes me reflectively pause!

May I often reflect on America goodness and the things that make her great!
And may my role as a loving citizen positively contribute to her glorious
fate.

A SIMPLE PRAYER

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
(Philippians 4:13 NKJV)

Father, forgive me for my arrogance and thinking that I am
somehow necessary in your work. I recognize that my only sufficiency for
ministry comes from my weakness being offered to your service and empowered by your
grace. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. We can do all things but only thru Jesus

For Those Suffering From Depression

Dear Lord,
For all the times in our lives when things DO seem right,
when we have that moment of clarity
when we feel there is hope, when the sun shines down upon us
and warms our face and reminds us that
life IS a gift... we thank you Lord.
Amen

For today!

HEBREWS 4:15-16 NEW INTERNATIONAL VRSION. For we do not have a high priest
who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one Who has
been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin. Let us then
approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy
and find grace to help us in our time of need.

HEBREWS 4:15-16 KING JAMES VERSION. For we have not an high priest which
cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points
tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto
the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in
time of need.

Dear Lord, we come to You today in the name of JESUS and ask forgiveness
of our sins as we have forgiven those that have sinned against us.

Father, it is written in Your Word, First of all, then, I admonish and
urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be offered on
behalf of all men.(Timothy 2:1)

Therefore, Father, we bring the lost of the world this day--every man,
woman and child from here to the farthest corner of the earth--before You.
As we intercede, we use our faith, believing that thousands this day have
the opportunity to make JESUS their Lord.

Father, we know that satan would prevent these from hearing truth, if
possible. We are human, but we can't wage war with human plans and methods.
We use GOD's mighty weapons, to knock down the devil's strongholds. With
these weapons we break down every proud argument that keeps people from
knowing GOD. With these weapons we conquer their rebellious ideas, and teach
them to obey CHRIST.

We ask the Lord of the harvest to thrust the perfect laborers across
these lives this day to share the good news of the Gospel in a special way
so that they will listen and understand it. We believe that they will not be
able to resist the wooing of the Holy Spirit, for You, Father, bring them to
repentance by Your goodness and love.

We confess that they shall see who have never been told of JESUS. They
shall understand who have never heard of JESUS. And they shall come out of
the snare of the devil who has held them captive. They shall open their eyes
and turn from darkness to light--from the power of satan to You,GOD!

In JESUS' name, amen.

Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:

Lord of My Life

Oh Lord, Thou art my God, and
in earnestness I sought You as
I called upon Your name;

You heard my humble cry and to this wretched soul You came.
You sought me and You bought me with Your redeeming blood;
Your mercy You poured out on me in a mighty rushing flood!
You brought me up out of the pitand you cleansed my heart and
soul from sin;

You purified this heart of mine, and then You came and dwelt
within!I haven't words enough to thankYou for all You've given me;
But the one desire of my heart is to live my life for Thee!
To serve You faithfully in allI say and do,And to feed Your sheep and to
seek the lost and bring them home to You!

God Loves You!
And so do I.....

The cry of the needy

Hasten, O God, to save us;O Lord, come quickly to help us.May those who seek
our life be stopped and put to shame and confusion; may all who desire our
ruin be turned back in disgrace. May those who say to us, "Aha! Aha!" turn
back because of their shame. But may all who seek You rejoice and be glad in
You;may those who love Your salvation always say;may those who love Your
salvation always say "Let God be exalted!" Yet we are poor and needy; come
quickly to us.O God. You are our help and our deliverer; O Lord, do not
delay. Yet Lord we ask that Your will not ours be done on earth as it is in
heaven.....In Jesus' name we ask it.....Amen.

Broken Dreams

Broken Dreams

As children bring their broken toys
With tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams to God
Because He was my friend.

But then instead of leaving Him
In peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help
With ways that were my own.

At last I snatched them back and cried,
"How could you be so slow"
"My child," He said, "What could I do?
You never did let go."

Jesus Christ

I Saw Jesus Last Week.
He was wearing blue jeans and an old shirt.
He was up at the church building;
He was alone and working hard.
For just a minute he looked a little like one of our church members.
But it was Jesus, I could tell by his smile.

I saw Jesus last Sunday.
He was teaching a Bible class.
He didn't talk real loud or use long words,
But you could tell he believed what he said.
For just a minute, he looked like my Sunday School teacher.
But it was Jesus, I could tell by his loving voice.

I saw Jesus yesterday.
He was at the hospital visiting a friend who was sick.
They prayed together quietly.
For just a minute he looked like our pastor.
But it was Jesus, I could tell by the tears in his eyes.

I saw Jesus this morning.
He was in my kitchen making my breakfast
He then fixed me a special lunch to take with me.
For just a minute he looked like my Mom.
But it was Jesus, I could feel the love from his heart.
I saw Jesus today.
He was praying on his knees all alone.
He then began to cry for those he prayed for.
For just a minute he looked like a lady from our church.
But it was Jesus, I could see the compassion poured out of his prayer.
I saw Jesus the other day.
He was at the grocery store talking to a friend.
He then put his arms around them to comfort them.
For just a minute he looked like a young mother in our ladies class.
But it was Jesus, I could see the concern for others who hurt.

I see Jesus everywhere,
Taking food to the sick,
Welcoming others to his home,
Being friendly to a newcomer
And for just a minute I think he's someone I know.
But it's always Jesus, I can tell by the way he serves.

May someone see Jesus in you today.
Remember to encourage those you see living for Jesus!
"You are My witnesses," says the Lord." (Isaiah 43:5)
