The Presence of God

I remind myself that, as I sit here now,
God is gazing on me with love and holding me in being.
I pause for a moment and think of this.


Freedom

I ask for the grace
to let go of my own concerns
and be open to what God is asking of me,
to let myself be guided and formed by my loving Creator.


Consciousness

Help me Lord to be more conscious of your presence.
Teach me to recognise your presence in others.
Fill my heart with gratitude for the times Your love
has been shown to me through the care of others.


The Word

In this expectant state of mind, please turn to the text for the day with confidence.
Believe that the Holy Spirit is present
and may reveal whatever the passage has to say to you.
Read reflectively, listening with a third ear to what may be going on in your heart.

EPH 4:1  I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beseech you to walk worthily of the calling wherewith ye were called,
EPH 4:2  with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
EPH 4:3  giving diligence to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
EPH 4:4  [There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as also ye were called in one hope of your calling;
EPH 4:5  one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
EPH 4:6  one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all.
