We seek the Father

Father,
Our thoughts are turned toward you: Again we seek you at this hour and at this place, not with an unsteady step of a lost traveler but the the sure flight of a bird homeward bound. Grant then our confidence in you that it would not be a fugitive thought, a momentary leap, a mistaken appeasment of the heart and flesh. Grant that our aspirations toward you Kingdom, our hopes for Glory, be not unproductive birth pangs or waterless clouds, but that being heard they will rish toward you and that being heard they will quench our thirst like the refreshing dew and satisfy us forever like your heavenly Manna
.
